“Enhancing the beauty of our public landscape, encouraging community engagement and civic pride”
Welcome to Hillsborough Beautification Foundation
Hillsborough Beautification Foundation (HBF) is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization that performs the work of a Parks Department, all without any taxpayer funding. HBF develops, beautifies, maintains, and preserves more than 145 public sites throughout the Town of Hillsborough.
Our Projects Committee assesses the needs of public spaces and oversees all improvement efforts. This includes hiring and managing landscape contractors, negotiating service agreements, installing irrigation systems, and ensuring the long-term maintenance of each site.
The Development Committee leads fundraising efforts and organizes three major community-building events each year:
Veterans Day Ceremony at Town Hall in November
Light Up The Town holiday celebration in December
Celebrate May! fundraising event each spring
Every year, HBF plants more than 1,000 daffodil bulbs to enhance the beauty of our public spaces.
HBF is proud to support and operate the Town’s Harvest Garden, a thriving community garden that grows over 1,200 pounds of fresh produce annually. Harvested produce is donated to Samaritan House to support local families in need.
We hope you will join us in the Garden! Volunteers are welcome on Tuesday mornings from 9:00–11:00 AM and select Saturdays, view our Harvest Garden sign up sheet.
We are grateful to our Celebrate May! sponsors.
