Volunteer of the Year - Kristin Willig

The Volunteer of the Year is given to an individual who has shown outstanding leadership, interest and innovation in carrying out the mission of HBF.  Kris Willig and her husband Ed settled in Hillsborough in 1998 along with their 3 children.  Kris has been involved with HBF since 2014 serving on the Development Committee.  Since 2017, Kris has been responsible for the monthly processing of all our donations, a vital and invaluable role that she has managed with expertise and meticulous detail.  Kris has been an active volunteer in the greater community as well.  She gives her time to the Homeless Cat Network and Ability Path.   As an enthusiastic tennis player, she is involved with the San Francisco Peninsula Tennis League where she currently sits on their Board of Directors.  She is a member of the Hillsborough Racquet Club where she has served as the Club Treasurer.  HBF congratulates and thanks Kris for her lengthy and ongoing commitment to our organization.

Professional Appreciation Award: William Li

HBF presents the Professional Appreciation Award to an individual who has gone far beyond their job description to assist HBF in achieving its goals.  Town of Hillsborough Administrative Services Manager, William Li has done just that.  For the past two years, William has provided invaluable technical assistance to both the Projects Committee and the Board of Trustees.  William, a Nor Cal native, joined the Town staff in 2017 and has worked to support key Town initiatives related to communications, information technology and budget development.  He has worked for several other municipalities which have similar organizations to HBF so supporting HBF in its mission comes naturally.  William is a member of the Burlingame/Hillsborough Rotary Club as well as an avid Taylor Swift fan and Pokémon Card professional grader and collector.  HBF is very grateful to William for all his ongoing support and expertise.
